Rachel completed her articles at Lidstone & Company and has practiced local government law since her call to the bar in 2015. She advises local governments in relation to a wide variety of matters, with a particular interest in issues relating to governance, administrative, environmental and constitutional law. She has represented clients in the BC Supreme Court, Provincial Court and Federal Court and in matters involving the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner. Rachel obtained her law degree at the University of Victoria, where she participated in the law co-op program, completing placements with the B.C. Ministry of Justice, the Ontario Securities Commission, a non-profit organization, and a full-service business law firm in Bangkok, in addition to coursework. During law school, Rachel received awards for both academic performance and involvement in student affairs.
