Marisa has practiced local government law at Lidstone & Company since her call to the bar in 2010. She assists local government clients on a wide variety of matters, with an emphasis on labour, employment and human rights matters, bylaw enforcement, conflicts of interest, and privacy and FOI matters. Marisa has represented clients in matters before all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as before various boards and tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner and the Labour Relations Board.
Marisa completed her law degree at the University of Victoria. She was awarded five major scholarships and academic awards. She also served as a judicial law clerk in the British Columbia Court of Appeal in 2008, prior to her call to the bar.
