Kate is a lawyer at Lidstone & Company. She completed her law degree at the University of British Columbia. During law school, Kate was introduced to municipal law by working as a research assistant at the Cascadia Urban Analytics Cooperative: an interdisciplinary, cross-border project exploring uses of data science in urban contexts for social good. As part of this project, she co-wrote a comparative guide to the legal frameworks of local governments in Washington State and British Columbia. During summers, Kate worked at a regulatory body and conducted research for an environmental non-profit organization.
Kate was Co-Chair of the UBC Environmental Law Group and remains involved with environmental issues through volunteering.
