Chris has retired from the active practice of law but remains available to lead our law firm mentorship program.
Chris practiced exclusively on behalf of local governments since 1984.
Chris is a lifelong resident of B.C. and attended the University of British Columbia where he received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and then his Bachelor of Laws Degree. After articling and being called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1983, he attended the University of Oxford where he received a Graduate Degree in Law.
Chris had a mixed practice of solicitor’s and barrister’s work, advising on all areas of municipal law and in particular has provided advice and acted as counsel in matters involving conflict of interest, public-private partnerships, complex developments, bylaw challenges and subdivision appeals. He appeared in all levels of Court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada on behalf of local government clients.
In his spare time, Chris is an avid runner and is a member of the 7 Continents Club, having completed a marathon on all 7 Continents.
