Marisa has practiced local government law at Lidstone & Company since her call to the bar in 2010. She is a litigation lawyer and the head of the firm’s employment law practice. She also advises clients in relation to a wide variety of local government issues, including bylaw enforcement, land use and planning, conflict of interest and freedom of information and privacy matters. Marisa has represented clients in matters before the BC Supreme Court, BC Provincial Court, Human Rights Tribunal, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner and the BC Utilities Commission.
Marisa completed her law degree at the University of Victoria. She was awarded five major scholarships and academic awards. She also served as a judicial law clerk in the British Columbia Court of Appeal in 2008, prior to her call to the bar.
